In the 1930s, war is already raging in Asia. Japan's military-led government invades China, culminating in a brutal massacre in the capital of Nanking. Despite global backlash, Japan pursues its vision of “Asia for Asians,” with the ultimate goal of pushing European empires out of their colonial territories in the region.  

Aligning with Nazi Germany in the Axis Pact, Japan faces increasing US sanctions, including FDR’s crippling US oil embargo and demand that they withdraw from China. Desperate to sustain its war machine, Japan refuses to back down—setting the stage for an event that will dramatically reshape World War II and the destiny of a nation…
