This approximately two-hour itinerary highlights our immersive galleries and interactive experiences to learn what life was like during World War II and how this global conflict shaped the world we live in today.

Check in or purchase your ticket in Louisiana Memorial Pavilion (Building 1). Be sure to ask for a Plane Spotting Guide if you did not print one out ahead of time.
- First Floor: Head to the Train Car Experience to begin your journey into WWII history. (5 minutes)
- Second Floor: The Arsenal of Democracy exhibit traces America’s path to war and highlights what life was like for families on the Home Front during World War II with an interactive 1940s-style kitchen and living room. Don’t forget to register a Dog Tag to follow a WWII servicemember’s story at interactive stations throughout the Museum! (20 minutes)
Next, cross Andrew Higgins Boulevard or the American Spirit Bridge and take a right into...

...the state-of-the-art Campaigns of Courage Pavilion (Building 3). This pavilion is made up of two immersive exhibits guiding visitors through the narrative of each theater of combat through the eyes of the American troops who fought there.
- First Floor: Road to Berlin: European Theater Galleries is devoted to pre– and post–D-Day actions in the Mediterranean and European theaters. (30 minutes)
- Don’t miss: Attend a mission briefing with America's Bomber Boys in the Air War gallery and spot Kilroy on the wall of a re-created German bunker.
- Second Floor: Road to Tokyo: Pacific Theater Galleries traces the grueling path and extreme conditions faced in Asia and the Pacific theater. (30 minutes)
- Don’t miss: See what life was like aboard new US Navy aircraft carriers on a re-created flight deck and follow the path of the Allied forces as they hopped from island to island.

When you exit Road to Tokyo, take an immediate right to cut through Liberation Pavilion (Building 4). Head to the third floor and cross the Liberty Bridge, which will lead you into US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center.
- Second, Third, and Fourth Floors: Use the catwalks to get a closer look at the restored warbirds soaring through the Pavilion’s airspace. (15 minutes)
- First Floor: Final Mission: USS Tang Submarine Experience places you aboard the most successful submarine in World War II for its fifth and final war patrol in 1944. (17 minutes, check the nearby desk for showtimes)
If you have more time to explore the campus, we recommend these additional family-friendly experiences and exhibits:
- Beyond All Boundaries, located in Solomon Victory Theater (Building 2), is a 48-minute 4D experience bringing America’s WWII story to life and is recommended for children ages 10 and up. (Additional ticket required)
- In John E. Kushner Restoration Pavilion (Building 7), you can view macro-artifacts, including the restored patrol torpedo boat, PT-305, and get hands-on with STEM activity stations.
- Voices from the Front, located in the Forbes Gallery in Louisiana Memorial Pavilion (Building 1), is a new interactive experience that allows guests to hold conversations with more than a dozen members of the WWII generation.
