Honoring Those Who Serve
Free Admission for Veterans, Current Servicemembers
In honor of Armed Forces Day, all US veterans enjoy complimentary admission to The National WWII Museum. (Please note: Add-on experiences require a separate ticket and are not included; offer valid for veterans only.)
Current military personnel and their families can also get free Museum admission through the Blue Star Museums program—including access to the immersive Beyond All Boundaries and Freedom Theater experiences.
Oath of Enlistment Ceremony
New recruits from across the US Armed Forces publicly take the Oath of Enlistment during a special ceremony. Representing all branches of the military, enlistees will stand before family, friends, and community members to pledge their service to the nation.
Armed Forces Day Commemoration
Join us to recognize servicemembers, both past and present, in all six branches of the US military, and learn how members of the military community give back in the New Orleans area.
Blue Star Museums Kickoff Cookout
Veterans, current military personnel, and their families are invited to enjoy a cookout-style lunch and family-friendly activities to kick off this year’s Blue Star Museums program.
This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services [Grant No. MA-257854-OMS-25]. Visit imls.gov to learn more.
