Join The National WWII Museum, the Mayor’s Military Advisory Committee, and the New Orleans Military Entrance Processing Stations as new recruits from across the US Armed Forces publicly take the Oath of Enlistment in a special Armed Forces Day ceremony. Representing all branches of the military, enlistees will stand before family, friends, and community members to pledge their service to the nation.
Administered by a commissioned officer, the oath marks the official beginning of each servicemember’s military career and is a proud milestone for those who choose to serve. Set beneath the historic aircraft that helped secure Allied victory in World War II, the ceremony will reflect the connection between past, present, and future generations of service as these new enlistees begin their own commitment to defend the nation.
This event is part of a full lineup of special events celebrating Armed Forces Day. See the full listing of events here.
