During the ceremony, the MMAC will recognize and honor the 2026 awardees of its Community Service Award, which recognizes servicemembers who have gone above and beyond to selflessly serve the communities they live and work in.

The 2026 Armed Forces Day Commemoration will include:

  • USMC Major General David Mize (Ret.), Chairman of the Mayor’s Military Advisory Committee
  • New Orleans Mayor Helena Moreno
  • Major General Justen Swanson, Commanding General of the 377th Theater Sustainment Command
  • Performance by the Victory Belles
