Learn MoreOn July 4, 2015, The National WWII Museum will open a new special exhibit called Fighting for the Right to Fight: African American Experiences in World War II. With generous funding from The Coca-Cola Foundation, the exhibition will feature artifacts, photographs, oral histories and associated educational programming to highlight some of the extraordinary achievements and challenges of African Americans during World War II, both overseas and on the Home Front.

Learn MoreTo commemorate the 75th anniversary of the surprise Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, PBS member station WYES-TV/New Orleans and The National WWII Museum will webcast a national, interactive Electronic Field Trip (EFT) focusing on the events of that momentous day. Debuting live on December 7 (9:00 am and 1:00 pm CST), “Remember Pearl Harbor – How Students Like YOU Experienced the Day of Infamy” will give students from across the country an opportunity to join student reporters as they deliver updates from the Museum in New Orleans and historic sites on Oahu, including Pearl Harbor.
