Susan McClamroch Presents “‘Look, If They Were Hitler's Brothers, It's beside the Point’—An American Spaceflight Pilgrimage”

Hailed as NASA’s heroic Cold War Space Race geniuses, historic sites and museums in Germany now cast dark shadows over the Wernher von Braun team legacy. In this lecture, Susan McClamroch will contrast the public history presentations of America’s German rocketeers at NASA Visitor Centers located in the US “Space Crescent” with those at European sites where the same team masterminded Nazi V-2 ballistic missiles—the first rockets to reach Earth’s stratosphere.

Lunchbox Lectures are free and open to the public on every third Wednesday of the month. For more information, call 504-528-1944 x 229.
