Mike Alexander Presents “Old Hickory: WWII Combat Chronicle of the 30th Infantry Division”

Named after President Andrew Jackson, the 30th Infantry Division (Old Hickory) was a National Guard unit from Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. At the end of World War II, US Army historians' research deemed the division “The Outstanding Infantry Division of the European Theater.”  In this lecture, Mike Alexander will discuss the 30th Infantry Division’s combat chronicle of the European theater.
