Ed Branley presents “From West End to Milneburg: How the Lakefront Helped Win the War”

From Higgins Industries at West End to Consolidated in Milneburg, a number of military and industrial sites along the south shore of Lake Pontchartrain made important contributions to the war effort. The manufacture of landing craft, PT Boats, and seaplanes, as well as support and aid for men and women in and out of uniform, were all part of the Home Front activity along the lake.

Lunchbox Lectures are free and open to the public on every third Wednesday of the month. For more information call 504-528-1944 x 484.
