Rhett Breerwood presents Louisiana National Guard and World War II

Join Rhett Breerwood in exploring the contributions of the Louisiana National Guard in World War II. Follow the guard from their activation and training prior to Pearl Harbor through the end of the war. Learn about various Louisiana combat units in each theater of the war including the 204th Coast Artillery Group, 106th Medical Battalion, 105th Antiaircraft Artillery Battalion, 141st Field Artillery Regiment, 156th Infantry Regiment, 773rd Tank Destroyer Battalion, and the 122nd Bomb Squadron. Also learn how the National Guard state headquarters directed Louisiana's Selective Service while organizing the State Guard for disaster responses.
