P-38J Data Plate | FROM THE COLLECTION
Curator & Restoration Manager at The National WWII Museum in New Orleans, Cory Graff, explains how a data plate from a P-38 crash helped one daughter recover her father’s remains. The 428th Fighter Squadron, 474th Fighter Group’s plane crashed in Germany on April 13, 1945. This is one of the artifacts you can find in the Museum’s final permanent exhibit hall, Liberation Pavilion.
Liberation Pavilion explores the end of World War II, the Holocaust, the postwar years, and how the war continues to impact our lives today.
