The National World War II Museum launches a new Facebook initiative to celebrate World War II love stories.

Forced apart by war, newlyweds and expectant parents Richard and Jean Porritt celebrated Valentine’s Day the only way they could: through greeting cards and love letters.

1st Lt. Shannon Eugene “Gener” Estill comes alive in his letters. His persona emerges from the page in conversations with his wife, Mary Kathryn Taylor Estill.

Felice and Lilly’s story is one of contradictions. One a bohemian writer in the Jewish underground; the other wife to an ardent Nazi, a “good German” Hausfrau, and mother of four. The two women fell in love in wartime Berlin.

The National WWII Museum’s live theater venue, the Stage Door Canteen, regularly plays host award-winning shows celebrating the music of the World War II era, but the newest offering takes us into the years following the war and celebrates one of country music’s first crossover sensations.
‘Always . . . Patsy Cline’ is a musical play, complete with down-home country humor, true emotion. The show includes many of Cline's unforgettable hits such as ‘Crazy,’ ‘I Fall to Pieces,’ ‘Sweet Dreams,’ 'Walkin' After Midnight,’ and many more.
