Originally premiering in 2009 and fully remastered in 2025, Beyond All Boundaries plunges viewers into a 48-minute immersive journey from Pearl Harbor to V-J Day, using cutting-edge special effects to bring America’s WWII story to life. Viewers feel the treads of Tiger Tanks rumbling across North Africa’s deserts, steam rising from the jungles of Guadalcanal, and snow falling during the Battle of the Bulge. Tom Hanks narrates as an all-star celebrity cast voices the first-person accounts of those who witnessed history unfold.
Beyond All Boundaries is shown hourly in Solomon Victory Theater from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Advance tickets are highly recommended. Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to your scheduled viewing.
A Museum-produced experience, Beyond All Boundaries is narrated by executive producer Tom Hanks with Phil Hettema serving as show producer and creative director. The production was remastered in 2025 with original partner THG Creative.
Solomon Victory Theater opened in 2009 with generous support from the Solomon Family. The upgrades to Beyond All Boundaries and the theater were made possible with support from Kevin G. Clifford, Jennifer and Phil Satre, the Solomon Family, and the State of Louisiana.

Final Mission
Final Mission: USS Tang Submarine Experience places visitors aboard the most successful submarine in World War II for its fifth and final war patrol on October 25, 1944. They will relive the last epic battle of the USS Tang and feel a deeper appreciation for the bravery and sacrifice of those who served in the intense, confined world of underwater warfare.

The Louisiana Memorial Pavilion exhibits take visitors into the monumental efforts on the Home Front and to the beaches of Normandy—focusing on the thousands of men and women who made Allied victory in World War II possible.

Campaigns of Courage
In a war where the terrain was as deadly as the enemy, this pavilion tells the story of American servicemembers abroad—and how they overcame unprecedented challenges on multiple fronts to win victory in World War II. In over 19,000 square feet of exhibit space, two extraordinary exhibitions bring visitors inside the epic story of the war in its most infamous settings, bringing to life jungles, beaches, mountains, and oceans in 19 immersive galleries.

Opened in 2009, the Solomon Victory Theater complex is home to The National WWII Museum's 4D cinematic experience Beyond All Boundaries, as well as BB's Stage Door Canteen, the US Merchant Marine Gallery, and The American Sector Restaurant & Bar.

John E. Kushner Restoration Pavilion
Now open, the John E. Kushner Restoration Pavilion offers up-close looks at WWII macro-artifacts, including the Museum’s patrol torpedo boat, PT-305, which returned to her permanent home on campus in 2022. Museum visitors can observe the fully restored vessel from the Lester and Beverly Wainer PT-305 Viewing Terrace and learn of her wartime crew and tours of duty. The Pavilion also houses the STEM Innovation Gallery, an educational space that gives visitors the opportunity to engage in tactile learning and exploration.

Founders Plaza creates an impressive entryway to the Museum campus, safe passage for Museum guests, and a pleasant setting for rest and reflection as part of the visitor experience.

Bollinger Canopy of Peace
The soaring Bollinger Canopy of Peace, set to stand 150 feet tall, will unify the Museum's diverse campus and establish the Museum as a fixture on the New Orleans skyline.

Three building levels will explore the closing months of the war and immediate postwar years, concluding with an explanation of links to our lives today.
