Walter Broll was present during the German bombing attack on Bari Harbor in Italy on 2 December 1943.

Walter Broll was present during the German bombing attack on Bari Harbor in Italy on 2 December 1943. The attack was a complete surprise and resulted in the destruction of 28 cargo ships and the deaths of more than 1,000 people.
