Join The National WWII Museum as we open our latest special exhibition, Come Back Fighting: USS New Orleans at War. This original exhibit showcases the prolific history and remarkable resilience of the decorated heavy cruiser USS New Orleans and her veteran crew—from the warship’s 1933 christening to her participation in nearly every major battle of the Pacific war—that mirror the indomitable spirit of her namesake city.
Following a reception from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Museum Curator and Restoration Manager Cory Graff will give a special presentation on the exhibit. The exhibit will be open for viewing before and after the presentation.
Come Back Fighting will be on display in the Museum’s Joe W. and Dorothy D. Brown Foundation Special Exhibit Gallery through February 14, 2027.
