Families across the New Orleans and Gulf Coast community are invited to enjoy live entertainment and family-friendly activities at our annual Family and Military Appreciation Block Party! Plus, explore our campus and see why The National WWII Museum is one of the top attractions in the city—and country.
Museum and Block Party admission is FREE for all visitors thanks to the generosity of Timber and Peggy Floyd.
Join us for a day of creativity, rhythm, and expression as we shine a light on the role of modern art and jazz during World War II. Learn how the arts persisted—and how New Orleans, a city that thrives on creativity, continues to carry that torch today.
Activities include:
- Live jazz performances from local bands
- Art and music workshops and activities with New Orleans artists, musicians, museums, and cultural organizations
- Free face painting by New Orleans Face and Body Painting
- Free sno-balls from Sneaux-La Snoballs
- Access to the Museum’s world-class galleries and special exhibitions
- Free tickets to Beyond All Boundaries and the Priddy Family Foundation Freedom Theater experience
