Join us for our third Virtual Innovation Studio! March is "Spring Forward" season, so this Virtual Innovation Studio is all about time. Learn how to construct your own sundial, set-up a perpetual day calendar, and create your own personal or family time capsule.

MATERIALS NEEDED

Sun Dial:

  • 1 – 3 Small Paper Plates
1 – 3 Sharpened Pencils
A small ruler or straight edge
Markers or Crayons *
Push-pins or rocks to hold the sun dial in place *
  • Perpetual Day Calendar
  • Perpetual Day Calendar sheets
  • Scissors *
  • Tape or glue sticks*

DIY Time Capsule:

  • Small metal tin
  • Small mason jar
  • Small travel-size plastic container
  • Time Capsule labels and information sheets
  • Tape or glue sticks*
