945 Magazine St, New Orleans, LA 70130
As we open the new Liberation Pavilion, we want to celebrate with you! Families both civilian and military across the Greater New Orleans community are invited to join us at our daylong Block Party and Museum Open House to explore our fully expanded campus. Enjoy live entertainment, meet Medal of Honor Recipients, and see why The National WWII Museum is one of the top attractions in the city—and country.
The Block Party includes local military static displays from the Louisiana National Guard and US Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Army; hands-on games and activities with area organizations including an obstacle course and free face painting; and a screening of the Army vs. Air Force football game. There will be free sno-balls from Sneaux-La Snoballs, and Skeeta Hawk Brewing will be debuting their new beer, Support and Defend, which was developed in partnership with the Museum. The Beignet Fest Foundation will provide its Sensory Activation Vehicle, a quiet space for neurodivergent visitors. Tickets also include admission to that evening’s Family Night at Expressions of America!
