Waverly B. Woodson Jr. served as a medic on Omaha Beach during Operation Overlord in 1944. Woodson played a major role assisting wounded American soldiers during World War II. This discussion looks at the members of the 320th Barrage Balloon Battalion, an all-African American unit, and their invasion of Normandy.
