Meeting the Needs of Teachers and Students Nationwide
The National WWII Museum is committed to supporting educators across the United States and locally through educational outreach. We believe that educational outreach is an essential part of meeting the needs of teachers and students nationwide and sharing our mission of telling the story of World War II. We recognize the impact of engaging, practical learning experiences and work to bring those opportunities to educators and classrooms across the country.
Professional Development Workshops
We make available a menu of professional development training for Museum educators to present in the humanities and/or STEM fields. Each of these presentations can be catered to the needs of the audience.

Exhibiting at Conferences and Events
We host engaging exhibitor booths with an array of materials and resources that allow educators to explore the Museum’s educational programs that we offer year-round.

Curriculum Support and Resources
We provide teachers with a selection of curricula and resources to support their instructional needs. These curricula are aligned with Common Core Standards, National Standards for History, and Next Generation Science Standards and can be sent to you at no cost!

Classroom Workshops
Area teachers can invite Museum educators into their classrooms to lead interactive lessons, such as Operation Footlocker and hands-on activities tied to the initiatives of The National WWII Museum.

Table Talk for Student Outreach
The Education Team hosts engaging tables at area schools during activity fairs, club fairs, or lunches to introduce opportunities available for students! These can be catered to a schoolwide audience during assemblies.

Whether these outreaches are in schools, at the district-level, or state conferences, we are eager to work together to serve communities nationwide. Please fill out the interest form below and someone will reach out.
