Marcus Descant, a Louisiana edible landscaping expert, discusses his work to establish and promote urban gardens. Known in Lafayette as the “Urban Naturalist,” Marcus owns a nursery that specializes in transitioning decorative home planting into edible landscaping. Marcus was instrumental in the establishment of the Lafayette Victory Garden and has been a speaker for popular idea-sharing organization TEDx.
