Kate is the Distance Learning Specialist at The National WWII Museum in New Orleans. She has been with the Museum since 2018. She is responsible for creating and implementing the Museum’s signature distance learning initiatives in the WWII Media and Education Center. She connects with learners of all ages each day to facilitate lessons and discussions on World War II. Previous to working in museums, she taught high school history for five years in Swansboro, NC. She holds a secondary teaching license in the state of North Carolina. Kate has an MA in Educational Technology and Leadership from George Washington University and holds a BS in Secondary Education from East Carolina University. Kate’s family currently lives in Frankfurt, Germany, and she became interested in World War II after living on many famous WWII historical sites, including Pearl Harbor and Okinawa.
