Join The National WWII Museum for a free classroom webinar exploring the history of World War II through the music of the era.

Music was everywhere during World War II. It played over radios and in dance halls, accompanied servicemembers overseas, boosted morale on the Home Front, and gave voice to the hopes, anxieties, and experiences of a generation at war.

During this webinar, students will learn about the WWII era by analyzing popular song lyrics and the messages they conveyed to the American people. The songs featured will give students a glimpse into some of the people, places, and events of the war that changed the world, including life on the Home Front and stories from the battlefield. Through historical context, primary sources, and interactive activities, students will consider what music can reveal about morale, identity, popular culture, and the experiences of wartime Americans.

Can't attend live? Register anyway! All registrants will receive access to a recording of the webinar following the program.
