The National WWII Museum is proud to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Band of Brothers with a special two-day symposium featuring members of the cast and creative team behind HBO's epic miniseries.

Based on Museum Founder Stephen Ambrose's best-selling book chronicling the history of "Easy" Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, Band of Brothers was brought to life onscreen in 2001 by creators and executive producers Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. The 10-part series captivated millions, earning widespread acclaim for its authenticity and emotional power. Now, 25 years later, Band of Brothers continues to inspire a global audience, reminding us of the ordinary men who accomplished the extraordinary in the crucible of war.
At the symposium, guests will enjoy behind-the-scenes insights from the actors, exclusive stories about the making of the series, and the chance to hear firsthand accounts from the real Easy Company veterans through preserved oral histories. A highlight of the celebration will be a meet-and-greet and signing session with the cast members, whose lives have been forever changed by these roles.

Dinner with a Curator: “History to Hollywood: World War II in Film"
Saturday, August 1, 2026
7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Even as World War II raged overseas, Hollywood was bringing its stories to the silver screen. Wartime films helped shape public understanding and boost morale, while postwar-era movies brought audiences closer to the lived experiences of returning veterans. And as filmmaking has evolved over the past 80 years, so have the ways WWII stories are told, with sweeping narratives giving way to more personal accounts of courage, loss, and resilience, focusing on the human experience behind the history. Join Head Collections Manager Erin Scheaffer as she explores how these films balance accuracy and storytelling while reflecting the enduring legacy of the men and women of the WWII generation.
Tickets are $80 per person. Attendees of the Band of Brothers 25th Anniversary Symposium get a 10% discount with the code BOB25 at checkout.
