The National WWII Museum invites middle and high school educators to join us for a two-part workshop focused on teaching difficult history topics from World War II.

The Holocaust
Teachers will engage in content that explores the topic of the Holocaust in various ways. In partnership with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, teachers will explore curricula and guidelines for teaching the Holocaust, tour the “And Then They Came for Me” gallery in the Museum’s Liberation Pavilion, and engage in conversation with artist Erez Kaganovitz about his project, Humans of the Holocaust, which will be on display.

At the conclusion of each workshop, teachers will walk away with additional content knowledge on the respective topic and best practices to lead and support students in critically examining the past and connecting to the present. Participating teachers will also receive:

  • A free field trip to The National WWII Museum for up to 30 students*
  • One $50 Amazon gift card for each workshop attended
  • Curricula and Museum resources
  • Additional resources on each topic

*Part 1 participants only.

Each workshop is free of cost and will include coffee, lunch, and parking in the Museum’s garage.
