A Road to Tokyo gallery takes shape around a striking WWII macro-artifact. 

The Museum’s collection has over 250,000 objects, but only one night to host the greatest fashion show in history.

Frances Langford was an inspiring vocalist who devoted much of her wartime career to the entertainment of those in service. She was known as the “GI Nightingale,” and her performances had the power to temporarily transport troops from the battlefield into the arms of their sweethearts.

The National WWII Museum’s live theater venue, the Stage Door Canteen, regularly plays host award-winning shows celebrating the music of the World War II era, but the newest offering takes us into the years following the war and celebrates one of country music’s first crossover sensations.
‘Always . . . Patsy Cline’ is a musical play, complete with down-home country humor, true emotion. The show includes many of Cline's unforgettable hits such as ‘Crazy,’ ‘I Fall to Pieces,’ ‘Sweet Dreams,’ 'Walkin' After Midnight,’ and many more.

As the world celebrated victory over Nazi Germany and the boys eventually did come home, the war they fought thousands of miles from American shores came home with them. It came home with them in their wounds, in their memories, in their daily life…in their nightmares.
