Since the start of 2010, more than 100,000 visitors have trooped through the Museum’s six-acre campus to learn about the battles and motives behind the 20th-century’s most momentous event. In the process they are breaking all attendance records.
The National WWII Museum commemorates the 70th Anniversary of D-Day in France and in New Orleans with the help of the men who took part in the historic invasion on June 6, 1944.
After temporarily closing its doors on March 13, 2020 to protect the health and safety of visitors, staff and volunteers, The National WWII Museum today announced it will officially reopen to the public on Memorial Day, May 25, 2020.
