As the world comes together in a way that we haven’t seen in over 75 years, the stories and lessons of World War II act as a guiding source to get us through the current challenges we're facing with the Coronavirus pandemic.

As a WWII veteran, I am reminded of how the Greatest Generation came together under difficult circumstances more than 75 years ago. Today, our nation is again called to rise to the challenge as the COVID-19 pandemic impacts our communities.

The National WWII Museum mourns the loss of WWII veteran and longtime Museum champion Ralph Crump, who peacefully passed away on March 16.

Over the past couple of weeks, it’s become clear that the mission of The National WWII Museum is more important now than ever. We have relevant stories, artifacts, and lessons to share as we all come together to face this crisis as a nation.

Frances Skiba Hoffmann, a WWII veteran and one of the first members of the Marine Corps Women's Reserve, died last week in New Orleans at age 96 of COVID-19. She was a beloved member of our Museum family.
