Digital Content Manager

Bert Hidalgo graduated from Academy of Art University in San Francisco with a BFA in Motion Pictures and Television. He worked as a video editor in Los Angeles for over a decade primarily in news, then scripted for marketing and commercials before moving to New Orleans to become Digital Content Manager at The National WWII Museum. 

Bert plays a critical role in producing and managing content designed for the Museum’s online presence, including the website, social media channels, and other digital properties, as well as distance learning programs for K-12 and higher education audiences and for use in special exhibits and other Museum programs. He is responsible for producing, writing, and editing documentary-style pieces, podcast episodes, and oral history spotlights, working in partnership with curators, historians, educators, and other media producers. Bert is also responsible for curating and developing the Museum’s archival footage library in collaboration with the Curatorial Services department, and for developing and maintaining a system for cataloging produced media pieces.
