Join us for Veterans Day at The National WWII Museum as we commemorate the men and women who have selflessly served our country and whose sacrifices we must never forget. Held in partnership with the City of New Orleans and Mayor’s Military Advisory Committee, this annual ceremony reflects the Museum’s commitment to preserving the stories of American servicemembers and honor all who have and continue to honorably serve our great nation.
To mark this holiday, the Museum proudly offers FREE admission to veterans of all conflicts.
This year’s Veterans Day program will feature:
- Remarks from Captain Elmer “Royce” Williams, USN (Ret.), WWII veteran and Medal of Honor Recipient for actions during the Korean War
- Presentation of the Mayor’s Military Advisory Committee Veteran of the Year award to Rear Admiral James D. Olsen, USN (Ret.)
- Special performances from the US Naval Academy Glee Club
