945 Magazine St, New Orleans, LA 70130
Join us in partnership with the Mayor’s Military Advisory Committee to celebrate Armed Forces Day and recognize servicemembers, both past and present, in all six branches of the US military: the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Air Force, and Space Force.
During the ceremony, the MMAC will recognize and honor the 2025 awardees of its Community Service Award, which recognizes servicemembers who have gone above and beyond to selflessly serve the communities they live and work in.
After the ceremony, veterans, current military personnel, and their families are invited to enjoy a cookout-style lunch and family-friendly activities on the Col. Battle Barksdale Parade Ground to kick off this year’s Blue Star Museums program.
The Armed Forces Day Commemoration is free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged. If you cannot make it to the Museum for this event, watch live through Vimeo. For more information, contact Katie Caballero, Veteran & Military Engagement Specialist: katie.caballero@nationalww2musuem.org
