The Nazis looted priceless art and cultural treasures on an unprecedented scale throughout World War II. To safeguard culturally significant works, the Allies established the Monuments, Fine Arts, and Archives (MFAA) program, popularly known as the Monuments Men and Women—scholar-soldiers who had the critical task of identifying, recovering, and repatriating stolen objects during and after the war. Join Museum Collections staff members Rhea Wildman and Erin Scheaffer to take a closer look at the artwork stolen by the Third Reich, why they were chosen, the efforts to recover and repatriate them, and their whereabouts today.

Dinner with a Curator is an evening of dinner and history hosted by The American Sector Restaurant & Bar culinary team and Museum professionals. Guests participate in discussion on a featured topic related to World War II, which is interpreted through the Museum's collection and a theme-inspired four-course dinner paired with beverage specials. Ticket sales end 48 hours prior to the start of the event.
