When they weren't traveling the world to report on the war, Ernest Hemingway and his wife, Martha Gellhorn, spent much of the 1940s residing in Havana, Cuba. Join Museum Director of Public Engagement Maggie Hartley, EdD, to learn more about the famed writer's life in Cuba during World War II as he patrolled for German U-boats along the coast, wrote one of his most acclaimed novels, drank daiquiris at El Floridita bar, and more.

Dinner with a Curator is an evening of dinner and history hosted by The American Sector Restaurant & Bar culinary team and Museum professionals. Guests participate in discussion on a featured topic related to World War II, which is interpreted through the Museum's collection and a theme-inspired four-course dinner paired with beverage specials. Ticket sales end 48 hours prior to the start of the event.
