The National WWII Museum, in partnership with the Mayor’s Military Advisory Committee, will also host a virtual Armed Forces Day Ceremony on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. (CT) to honor all past and present member of the Armed Forces. During this program, The Mayor’s Military Advisory Committee will present Community Service Awards to members of the military commands who have performed outstanding service to the community over and above their normal military duties. This ceremony is generously sponsored by the Department of Defense.
Following the ceremony, veterans visiting the Museum will have the opportunity to collect a scarf as a part of our Knit Your Bit initiative, with over 10,000 knitters and crocheters participating throughout all 50 states.
Current military members and all veterans are admitted FREE for the day to the Museum galleries. Complimentary admission is for the Museum only; ticket purchase is required for Beyond All Boundaries ($7). Final Mission: USS Tang Submarine Experience is currently closed to the public.
