Memorial Day at the Museum 2018

The Museum marked Memorial Day 2018 with midday music and a ceremony, then joined the national moment of silence at 3:00 p.m. All events took place in the US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center

Master of ceremonies Bill Detweiler introduced the invited guests and welcomed Museum visitors—including several WWII veterans. Those in attendance were joined online by viewers tuning in via and Facebook

40:58 – “The Greatest Generation” poem, Dr. John Baye, US Department of Veterans Affairs.

43:35 – Moment of silence, ringing of the Normandy Liberty Bell, and "Taps."
