We suggest splitting students into groups of 10 with at least one chaperone before arriving at the Museum. 

Download our suggested rotations for students while they are exploring the Museum. We suggest 30 to 45 minutes in each exhibit. Please remember to plan for Roll Call (15 minutes) upon arrival, lunch (20 minutes), and restroom breaks.

To ensure everyone has the best experience possible, we ask that teachers and chaperones remain present and actively engaged with their students throughout the entire field trip. We encourage all teachers and chaperones to visit the Museum's Plan Your Visit page for more information about to expect during your visit.  

Elementary and Middle School students are required to walk in groups with a chaperone at all times while at the Museum. High School students are not required to walk with a chaperone; however, they are required to walk in groups of at least 3 at all times while in the Museum. No students should be alone while exploring the Museum for safety and security reasons.

Teachers, please be mindful that some of the galleries in our museum show images of the Holocaust that can be jarring for younger students to see and understand. These images are in our Liberation Pavilion. While it is a great place for students to learn, we want to ensure they are prepared for what they might see.

The National WWII Museum is committed to making its galleries, exhibits, pavilions, and programs accessible to all visitors. Please be aware that some exhibits feature elements such as moving lights, loud sounds, and dimmed lighting, which can particularly affect visitors with sensory needs.
