In this clip, DeForest tells about attacking a hill near Clark Field in the Philippines that the GIs called the Top of the World. Three companies, including DeForest’s were shot to pieces, but the hill was taken. DeForest goes on to describe what it was like leaving their dead behind, whom they considered brothers.
