Each year, we commemorate D-Day, calling to mind the men who landed on the beaches in Normandy and American experiences all over the world upon learning about the actions of the day.
Echoes and Reflections Teacher Workshop
Echoes and Reflections is a comprehensive Holocaust education program that delivers professional development and a rich array of teaching resources for middle and high school teachers. The program prepares educators to teach about the Holocaust in a way that stimulates engagement and critical thinking, all while providing opportunities for students to see the relevance of this complex history to their own lives.
An Echoes and Reflections workshop will be held on Wednesday, March 22, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The National WWII Museum. Participants will meet in the classroom on the third floor of Louisiana Memorial Pavilion. The workshop is open to all middle school and high school teachers. There is no cost for participation, but we do ask that you RSVP so we can plan for snacks and workshop materials. All participants will receive a free, comprehensive Teacher’s Resource Guide packed with primary and secondary source materials and lessons ideal for teaching about the Holocaust in a variety of contexts.

Participants should enter Louisiana Memorial Pavilion through the main entrance on Andrew Higgins Drive between Magazine and Camp streets. Paid parking is available in our parking garage on Magazine Street.
