Robert G. Aldous flew 42 missions in B-24s with the 90th Bomb Group during World War II, and another 32 missions in B-29s with the 98th Bomb Group during the Korean War.
 

The National WWII Museum was once again named among the top museums in the nation and the world in the 2018 TripAdivsor Travelers’ Choice Awards, ranking No. 3 in the United States and No. 8 in the world.

Farewell to the last surviving Doolittle Raider, who generously shared his unforgettable WWII story. 

Last month, the Museum welcomed a total of 44,807 visitors, the most ever in a one-month period, and over 1,000 more than its previous record month, March 2010.

In the bloodiest  battle in Marine Corps history, 27 Marines and sailors were awarded the Medal of Honor for action on Iwo Jima. No other campaign surpassed that number.
