For Jack Vessey, the march through Rome following that city’s liberation was one of the greatest days of the war.

For Jack Vessey, the march through Rome following that city’s liberation was one of the greatest days of the war. After celebrating the liberation and spending some time at a rest camp, Vessey and the 34th Infantry Division went on the offensive and began their drive north.
