As the Museum moves into its next phase of growth, support for endowment provides the foundation to secure our ability to fulfill our mission and become the most accessible resource for trusted knowledge on the American experience in World War II. A robust endowment provides steady, annual resources for our education initiatives, preservation efforts, and outreach programs that will pass on the legacy of courage, optimism, and sacrifice that fueled Allied victory for the WWII generation.
The endowment of The National WWII Museum was established in order for the institution to meet current goals and to ensure that resources are available to meet future needs of our expanding exhibits, infrastructure, and staff. Endowment funds keep our tried-and-true programs running, while also providing our staff with the means to think creatively and design new initiatives.
Gifts to the endowment can be allocated to the Museum’s unrestricted endowment fund, or to an endowment that funds a particular purpose, program, or initiative, such as education programs or endowed chairs for historians.
