Road to Victory Capital Campaign

In November 2023, The National WWII Museum successfully concluded the Road to Victory Capital Campaign by celebrating the completion of the original campus Master Plan.

Since 2004, this campaign propelled the Museum’s ambitious expansion from a single pavilion dedicated to the D-Day invasion of Normandy into a seven-pavilion, seven-acre campus that covers every facet of America’s experience in World War II. After nearly two decades, the Road to Victory Capital Campaign ended with more than $420 million raised to fund new buildings, state-of-the-art exhibits, increased preservation efforts, impactful education initiatives, research and scholarship programs, and outreach efforts, cementing the Museum’s status as one of the world’s foremost cultural institutions.

The Society of the American Spirit

This group of generous individuals, foundations, corporations, and other organizations made our capital expansion possible through charitable contributions. By giving to the Road to Victory Capital Campaign, Society of the American Spirit members have ensured that The National WWII Museum will fulfill its mission in telling the story of the American experience in the war that changed the world—why it was fought, how it was won, and what it means today—so that all generations will understand the price of freedom and be inspired by what they learn.

The Society of the American Spirit is recognized on a permanent donor wall prominently located in the grand entryway of the Museum’s Louisiana Memorial Pavilion. These donors are also recognized on the Museum's website and in Museum publications, including the Annual Report.
