How can a photo tell a story? In this workshop, scouts will learn to snap the perfect shot by exploring how to capture compelling images and create engaging narratives with their work. Scouts will also learn about the role of social media and the power of digital storytelling while taking inspiration from Humans of the Holocaust, a photography display on view through January 2025 for the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. With a focus on hope and remembrance, Humans of the Holocaust uses modern photography to share the human stories of Holocaust survivors.
Through this workshop, participants will meet some of the requirements of the Cadette Digital Leadership Badge (Girl Scouts) and the Photography Badge (Boy Scouts). This workshop is recommended for scouts ages 12 and up.
