“Everyone should have the privilege of experiencing The National WWII Museum, to learn of the hardships and sacrifices, to understand the hearts of Americans during World War II – and be reminded that this remains the core of who we are as a nation today.”

Dear Friend,

The National WWII Museum was founded to help celebrate our country’s “citizen soldiers”—everyday Americans who came together in response to a world in crisis.

Over the past 20 years, we’ve collected over 10,000 first-hand accounts from the men and women who personally experienced those years of struggle. Their stories are essential in bringing this vital history to life for generations to come.

Today, as we face this global pandemic, everyday Americans are once again answering the call by making personal sacrifices for the greater good. They are carrying on the legacy of those courageous men and women from World War II, whose stories are more relevant today than ever.

Our Museum and its mission represent the best of our country in difficult times. Even though our doors are temporarily closed, our work to honor their stories of determination, service, unity, and optimism still continues. Please help us in that mission with your donation today.

As we prepare to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the end of the war, it is more important than ever for our Museum to have dedicated supporters like you, caring citizens we can count on to help keep The Greatest Generation’s legacy alive.

During this pivotal time, we are airing special livestream presentations by Museum experts, sharing oral histories and personal interviews with WWII veterans, creating and distributing lesson plans and resources for teachers and parents, and so much more.

But, none of this is possible without your support. Friend, if you can, I hope you’ll consider making a donation to our Covid-19 Response Fund today to help advance our online efforts and successfully prepare to reopen the Museum when it is safe to do so.

Thank you for your continued support and for your consideration in making a contribution in this time of need. I hope you and your loved ones remain safe, healthy, and inspired by the American spirit that led us to victory in World War II and remains alive today.

Sincerely,

Stephen J. Watson
