The Young Benefactors gathers young professionals ages 21 – 45 for exclusive networking, educational, and social events connected to The National WWII Museum – one of the best museums in the world! Drafts for Crafts

Join the Young Benefactors for Drafts for Crafts, a special event featuring  live music, local New Orleans’ cuisine, a beer garden and raffles! Proceeds from Drafts for Crafts will support the restoration of a 1943 Ford-American LaFrance Fire Truck that will be used to educate the public about service on the American Home Front.

Join us at Lakeshore Landing for a special tour of PT-305 now that she’s on the water! We are excited to revisit our original preservation project, and hope you can join us for light refreshments and a private look at this special project. The evening will be full of information on our upcoming season, so don’t miss it!

Join us to network with The National WWII Museum Young Benefactors, a group of engaged young professionals dedicated to cultivating the Museum’s next generation of support! This free event on the Museum’s Founders Plaza will be the perfect opportunity to learn how you can benefit from a Young Benefactors membership, which includes free admission to the Museum as well as access to exclusive Young Benefactors events throughout the year.

At Meet the Museum, you’ll learn about our schedule of stellar public programming and upcoming events, and you’ll also hear about Young Benefactors benefits, which include discounts to the upcoming WWII Air, Sea & Land Festival and Victory Ball. Please attend and bring some friends!

Behind the Scenes Tour! So Ready for Laughter: The Legacy of Bob Hope
This event is presented in conjunction with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra’s young professionals group Prelude.

Time: 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Location: Louisiana Memorial Pavilion

The Young Benefactors will be offered a private tour of the Museum’s special exhibit about Bob Hope’s wartime legacy with its curator Kim Guise. The group will begin their experience in The American Sector Restaurant & Bar for cocktails, appetizers, and conversation before walking to Louisiana Memorial Pavilion for their tour. We are teaming up with another young professional group in the city – Prelude from the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO) – and inviting them to get to know the Museum in an exclusive and intimate tour of this great exhibit!

Swing in the Oaks Concert
This event is presented in conjunction with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra’s young professionals group Prelude.

Location: City Park

The Young Benefactors are invited to spend an evening at City Park to meet again with Prelude, the young professionals group from the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. A special set up for a VIP concert will be the perfect chance for the Museum group to mix again with the LPO young professionals – this time getting the opportunity to better understand their involvement with another cultural gem of our city!
