The Young Benefactors gathers young professionals ages 21 – 45 for exclusive networking, educational, and social events connected to The National WWII Museum – one of the best museums in the world! Joining the Young Benefactors is an excellent way to engage with New Orleans’s thriving professional scene and access an insider track to our growing institution.

Behind the Scenes Tour—New Museum Construction

Location: The American Sector Restaurant & Bar, Hall of Democracy, and Col. Battle Barksdale Parade Ground
Welcome to the opening event of the 2019–2020 Young Benefactor season. Join us as we go behind the scenes to explore the new construction projects on our campus. This exclusive tour will guide the group around the new Hall of Democracy and under the Bollinger Canopy of Peace, showcasing construction progress toward the completion of our Campus! We will begin with a brief meet-and-greet cocktail gathering in The American Sector Restaurant & Bar, with the tour beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Fall Fest with Prelude

Location: Louisiana Memorial Pavilion
We are excited to join ranks with Prelude, the young professionals who support the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO). Stop by Louisiana Memorial Pavilion for a beer and some mingling. We will feature live entertainment, and The Arsenal of Democracy: The Herman and George R. Brown Salute to the Home Front will be open for a casual walk-through experience.

Join us for an exclusive introduction to the new Hall of Democracy and a tour of our latest traveling special exhibit, Operation Finale: The Capture & Trial of Adolf Eichmann. After the tour, we will take a short walk over to the new Higgins Hotel & Conference Center for holiday cocktails at Rosie’s on the Roof.

Connecting New Orleans with World War II at Beauregard-Keyes House and Garden Museum

Join us off-site as we explore the New Orleans connection with World War II at the Beauregard-Keyes House and Garden Museum in the French Quarter. Museum Curator, Kim Guise, will guide us through history as we mingle and keep warm with a cocktail.

Join us on the lake for a little reminder of past successes! We will gather once again around PT-305, our fully restored macro-artifact from the first years of our Drafts for Crafts fundraiser, for a tour and a toast. This is also your chance to help us prepare for the next Drafts for Crafts by sampling wine and buying bottles for our annual raffle. Martin Wine Cellar will be on-site, and we will provide any other info you may need for the big event!

Fire Truck Celebration at NOLA Brewery!
5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Location: NOLA Brewery Tap Room (3001 Tchoupitoulas Street)
Drafts for Crafts beer sponsor NOLA Brewery will host a Young Benefactors celebration of the full restoration of the 1943 Ford-American LaFrance Fire Truck. A select group of Drafts for Crafts sponsors will have the opportunity to ride on the truck from Founders Plaza to meet the full Young Benefactors group at the NOLA Brewery Tap Room. This celebration will surely fuel the fire of Young Benefactors membership and will be a great opportunity for the group to discuss the previous Drafts for Crafts event.
