Throughout 2023, the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) is celebrating its centennial anniversary. To mark 100 years of commemoration, the ABMC has produced a unique 56-minute documentary, Our Promise: 100 Years of the American Battle Monuments Commission.

Established by Congress in 1923, the American Battle Monuments Commission commemorates the service, achievements, and sacrifice of US Armed Forces. The ABMC administers 26 overseas military cemeteries, and 32 memorials, monuments, and markers.

The documentary showcases the agency's ongoing work to preserve the legacy of those memorialized at various sites around the world, as well as the evolution of the ABMC’s mission into a new century of service. It honors both the sacrifice of the United States’ fallen, as well as the dedication of the ABMC staff to ensure the unique mission given to the agency is fulfilled.

At the conclusion of Our Promise, hear from representatives of the ABMC on the making of the film and the importance of their mission, followed by an audience Q&A.

This event is free and open to the public. Click here to register today to join us in person or to view the livestream on Vimeo.
