Throughout his life, FDR’s Little White House in Warm Springs became an important location from his time as Governor of New York until his death on April 12, 1945.

On July 9, The National WWII Museum’s patrol torpedo (PT) boat 305 will return to her permanent home on the Museum’s campus in the John E. Kushner Restoration Pavilion (KRP), providing an opportunity for hundreds of thousands of Museum visitors each year to observe the fully restored vessel up close and learn of her wartime crew members and tours of duty.

In partnership with the New Orleans Opera Association, The National WWII Museum will present three performances of “Brundibár,” a two-act children’s opera written by Jewish Czech composer Hans Krása. Three performances of “Brundibár,” which was originally staged by children at Theresienstadt concentration camp during World War II, will take place in the Museum’s US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center on May 14 and 15. Ela Weissberger, an original cast member and Holocaust survivor, will be the guest of honor.
