Leaving behind the restrictive years of World War I and Prohibition, the changing needs of sailors forced the US Navy to reevaluate the role of imbibing during World War II. In a unique collaboration between New Orleans brewery Urban South and The National WWII Museum, Curator and Restoration Manager Josh Schick and Research Historian Kali Martin will be joined by Urban South staff. Looking at the history of beer in the US Navy, they will discuss the role beer played in Navy life.

Join us for an entertaining night of suds highlighting Urban South’s special brew created for the event, which traces one Louisiana sailor’s journey through the war!
