On behalf of the Board of Trustees of The National World War II Museum, I’d like to thank you for your interest in the Museum and its educational travel programs.
As a former history professor at the University of New Orleans, I formed a close bond with my dear friend and fellow historian Stephen Ambrose over our shared love of educational travel. We both believed that there is no better way to connect with history than to hear the story of the participants in their own words and to walk in their footsteps. Years later, when we founded what was to become The National World War II Museum, we always wanted to have a travel department to foster the hands on experiences that can transform a casual learner into a more serious student of history.
By pairing world class historians and superb accommodations with exceptional customer service, we have created a travel program which lives up to the expectations set by Stephen Ambrose those many years ago. Since I personally helped design and manage Steve’s famous “D-Day to the Rhine” tours from 1978 to 1999, I can assure you that the Museum travel programs offer the same high standards of excellence and learning adventure that made those tours famous. Thank you for being a part of this fine legacy.
Our staff is here to insure that you have the trip of a lifetime.
With kind regards,
