Learn More With Us

Though the last shots of World War II rang out more than 70 years ago, the stories and research do not stop. Each year, leading historians and authors unearth impactful information and details from the war that changed the world, furthering our understanding of the 20th century’s most dramatic event.

The National WWII Museum is proud to host prominent authors, WWII veterans, important political figures, and more to share these stories and findings in front of a live audience. The Museum's entire mission is based on this practice: telling the story of the American experience in World War II—why it was fought, how it was won, and what it means today—so that all generations will understand the price of freedom and be inspired by what they learn.
